Продолжаем осваивать модальный глагол CAN, выполняя упражнения. Начинаем с самого простого — постановки предложений в отрицательную(-) и вопросительную формы(?). Теперь мы усложним задачу и перейдем на средний уровень. Наша задача — научиться различать модальный глагол CAN и его эквивалент TO BE ABLE TO. Есть предложения, в которых можно использовать оба варианта , но есть предложения, где может стоять только модальный глагол CAN и, наоборот, в некоторых предложениях уместно ставить только эквивалент TO BE ABLE TO. Кроме того, есть еще три глагола ( to manage, to succeed, to fail), смысл которых близок к “can” и передает способность и достижение цели. Напоминаю, что у глагола “can” есть еще значение разрешения, которое является синонимом модального глагола MAY.
В этом задании надо выбрать подходящий глагол — can, may, to manage, to succeed, to fail или эквивалент “to be able to” , и поставить его вместо русского слова в нужном времени. Само собой разумеется(it goes without saying) предложения необходимо перевести.
