После тренировочных упражнений среднего (intermediate) уровня переходим к продвинутому (advanced) уровню, в котором необходимо уже хорошо владеть не только базовой грамматикой в данном грамматическом поле, но и ориентироваться в “дополнительной” грамматике. Ведь на каждое правило в процессе изучения наслаивается все больше и больше новых уточнений и “тонкостей”. Продвинутый уровень предполагает оригинальные тексты или предложения максимально приближенные к реальной жизни.
В следующем упражнении обыгрываются два уточнения.
Во-первых, “неожиданное” применение маячков “always”,”constantly”, “forever” в Past Continuous Tense, что означает повторяющее действия в прошлом, зачастую с негативным подтекстом.
He was always telling me to do things I didn’t want to do. = Он вечно заставлял меня делать то, что я не хотел делать.
Во-вторых, не забываем правиле согласования времен.
He said that he was going to learn English. = Он сказал, что собирается учить английский язык.
Перед вами не отдельные предложения, а небольшой рассказ со связанными между собой предложениями. Я пронумерую все предложения для удобства. Раскройте скобки и поставьте глаголы в одно из прошедших времен: Past Indefinite Tense или Past Continuous Tense. Переведите этот рассказ на русский язык.
