Past Continuous Tense. Intermediate.

Past Continuous Tense.

The teacher came into the classroom (главное предложение или “хозяин”) when the children were writing a composition (придаточное предложение времени или “слуга”).

Did the teacher come into the classroom when the children were writing a composition?

Who came into the classrom when the children were writing a composition?

Where did the teacher come into when the children were writing a composition?

When the teacher came into the classroom the children were writing a composition.

Were the children writing a composition when the teacher came into the classroom?

What were the children writing when the teacher came into the classroom?

What were the children doing when the teacher came into the classroom?
