Тренировочные упражнения с предлогами времени. Средний уровень. Intermediate. Часть третья.

Предлоги и артикли – самое слабое звено для учащихся. Их невозможно выучить за один присест, чтобы их освоить, необходимо время. Это как раз их тех разделов грамматики, которыми надо заниматься каждый день и понемногу. Самые простые тренировочные упражнения – это те, в которых предлагается заполнить пропуски предлогами и артиклями, где это необходимо. Фраза “где это необходимо” говорит о том, что не во все пропуски надо ставить предлог ( или артикль).

Для начального уровня задача упрощается, так как речь идет только о предлогах времени. Чтобы их усвоить,  для начала необходимо просто заполнять пропуски , пока не наступит полная ясность. Однако,  всегда надо объяснять самому себе, почему выбор пал именно на этот предлог. Нельзя полагаться на “интуицию” или механическую память. Одновременно надо выполнять еще одно полезное упражнение. В любом английском тексте, который вы переводите, всегда надо приостановиться и внятно объяснить употребление всех предлогов. Мы не всегда , а точнее почти никогда не присматриваемся к предлогам ( и артиклям) в английских текстах.

Я напишу несколько предложений с пропусками, которые надо заполнить  предлогами времени, где это необходимо. В конце упражнения и напишу правильные ответы.

4. At many factories some of the workers work … the day and some … night.

5. Ann does the shopping … Wednesdays.

8. Before my last school examinations I studied every night … one o’clock … the morning.

9. My sister was born … March and I … November.

10. John  and I had a light lunch … noon and then we played volleyball … the afternoon.

11. Are your parents leaving … the weekend?

12. I got up … 7 o’clock … this morning.

13. The manager isn’t here … the moment.

14. My uncle promises to send me some money … the end of this month.

15. I am going to speak to my brother … Monday … morning.

16. What are you going to do … this weekend?

17. What do you usually do … the weekend?

18. You can keep the book … Sunday.

19. We are going to have a test … the 10th of … March.

20. Could you come to see me … Friday … evening?

21. My father spends a lot of time in his study. He works there … the evenings … weekdays and … the morning or afternoon … his days off.

22. The telephone and the doobell rang … the same time.

23. They came to London early … the year.

24. We are going away … three weeks … August.

25. Hurry up! We’ve got to go … 10 minutes.

26. We are going to London … the weekend.

27. I have plenty of time, the boat does not sail … 10 o’clock.

28. Ann got married … 16, which is rather young to get married.

29. There were a lot of questions … the manager’s talk.

30. I am going to stay at home … the weekend.
